The gaming-focused TV network, VENN, has been announced to launch 2020. The station is going to focus on “core gaming, esports and entertainment audiences”. VENN’s investment is being co-led by BITKRAFT.
VENN is set to be for all walks of gaming life. They plan on providing in-house content as well as content from big names in the gaming industry.
The network has even big names in the entertainment industry excited for what’s to come including Riot Games’ co-founder Marc Merrill, Twitch co-founder, Kevin Lin, and groups like aXiomatic Gaming, a video game and eSports investment group with holdings in devs like Niantic and Epic Games.
The network was founded by eSports pioneer Ariel Horn and brand marketer and the son of GameStop co-founder, Gary Kusin, Ben Kusin. Kusin has a seasoned history in the gaming industry as he worked with brands such as The Sims and F.E.A.R. Meanwhile, his partner in this venture, Ariel Horn, is notable for pioneering eSports broadcasting and is seen as a major reason behind Riot Games’ League of Legends‘ global broadcast succeeded.
There is no official launch for it, just that it’s set to start sometime in 2020.
