William Sadler and Mike C. Manning are gearing up to be featured in the upcoming horror flick, Slapface. The film is set to shoot this fall.
Slapface follows Lucas, played by August Maturo of The Nun fame, as he lives with his older brother, portrayed by Mike Manning, following the death of their parents. While living with his brother, Lucas finds and makes friends with a monster in some nearby woods.
Cue the sheriff, played by William Sadler, who wants to put a stop to any wrongdoings that Lucas and the monster may be up to.
The film is written and directed by Jeremiah Kipp. The Grudge producer, Shintaro Shimosawa, is stepped in to executive produce with Joe Benedetto and Nick Theurer as producers. Artisha Mann-Cooper is going to be the line producer.
In recent years, Sadler appeared in Ava DuVernay’s Emmy award-winning Netflix series, When They See Us. Manning, on the other hand, has appeared in the award-winning Intuitions, Six Degrees of Separation, and D-Day.
