As made clear since just about day one, Frozen 2 aims to make just as catchy of a song as Let It Go. Now, this is a daunting task and many fans questioned how they’ll do it. Quite frankly, no one outside of the cast is sure yet. That being said, fans were given a small portion of what appears to be the song trying to rival its precursor.
In the trailer, which starts like any normal trailer, she is told by a troll to go “into the unknown” where at 22 seconds in, a song kicks in and Elsa begins singing. Now, an important thing to note is this a short snippet of the song, so even if you aren’t necessarily a fan, you can rest assured it may improve by its release this November. The song is going under the title “Into The Unknown” and is sung by Idina Menzel.
The song, which while not officially called the “big Elsa song”, is primed to be that way. Everyone has their own thoughts on the song and the real question everyone needs to be asking is how long will this song last after theaters?
A factor that made Let It Go last was the covers of fans and children who adored the song. Will Into The Unknown get the same treatment or will it simply be seen as an attempt at making a “better” song than its precursor?
No matter your thoughts on Frozen 2‘s song snippet, you have to admit it has some pretty big shoes to fill.
Frozen 2 is set to make its way to theaters on November 22, 2019.
