Disney-owned ABC is in development of a new series based on the I Mom So Hard web series. The new comedy series is yet to be named. I Mom So Hard creators, Kristin Hensley and Jen Smedley alongside Michelle Nader, are acting as co-executive producers and writers for the series with Danielle Stokdyk and Rob Thomas brought on as executive producers.
The series is going to be a comedy much to the same effect of I Mom So Hard. The series will continue to play off of Hensley and Smedley’s boundary-pushing comedy.
This isn’t the first time they tried to bring their web series to the small screen. Back in 2017, the duo along with executive producer and writer Michelle Nader had set up a pilot episode for CBS. Aside from the fame from the web series, they wrote a bestselling book named after the series and managed to get an Amazon Prime Video special.
Nader was the showrunner of the CBS series 2 Broke Girls which lasted from 2011 to 2017. She also worked on other shows such as The King of Queens, Spin City, and Kath and Kim.
The unnamed series doesn’t have a release date yet.
